He Jiaying was born in 1957 in Tianjin. He loves painting since childhood. In 1977, he was admitted into the Department of Painting of Tianjin Fine Art Academy to study Chinese painting. After graduation in 1980, he stayed in the Academy to teach. He is good at fine brushwork painting of figures.

Present titles : CPPCC member, Vice- president of China Artists Association, Vice- president of Tianjin Artists Association, President of Tianjin Academy of Painting, Vice- president of Contemporary Fine Brush Painting Society, Professor and postgraduate supervisor of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, doctoral supervisor of China Institute of Art, National Young or Middle-aged Expert with Remarkable Contributions

Representative works: Mountain Field, 19 Autums, Women in Mizhi, Sour Grape, Haunting at Mawei Hill, Dark Autumn, Mullberry Dew, Rest of Dance, Yang Kaihui, etc..

Awards:  participated National Art Exhibition for several times and won the Silver Prize, Gold Prize and 1st Prize of Contemporary Fine Brush Painting Society Exhibition

Artistic Style: rigorous, delicate, simple, decent, accurately composed, good at depicting the inner world of static figures.
